2014 recap

I'm kicking off the new year abroad, in Dublin with my sister and a friend. But here's a short recap of my 2014. Above is most of my favorite outfits of the year, and below is the same questions I answered last year, I figured it would be fun.

How have your 2014 been?
Well, it's been part hell to be honest. The final semester of collage is not fun. But I've learned to not dwell on bad memories/experiences after it's over and done, so apart from some struggles I've allowed myself to be happy. And there's been lots of good memories too.

Did you do something you've never done before?
I graduated with a bachelor from collage. Hope I never have to do that again.

A particular date you will never forget?
ArtRave on September 30th.

What was your greatest success in 2014?
Graduated collage and reached almost 18k fans on lookbook.

Best buy?
My vintage chelsea boots (the ones I wear in seven of the pictures above), and my vintage fake fur coat maybe as well.

What did you spend the most money on?

Did something make you really happy?
Passing my bachelor's thesis. So much shit went down around that, so I cried in relief when I got the e-mail saying I had passed.

Which songs will remind you of 2014?
All the songs from Sia's 1000 Forms of Fear

Who did you spend the most time with?
Apart from my family, definitely Malvina, my partner in crime.

Where did you travel during 2014?
Greece, Germany, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Ireland.

What did you do on your birthday?
I learned how to crochet and my grandma's and then we went out and had steak and froyo (not at the same time).

Something that could have made your year better?
Well, if the final term of collage hadn't been shit, it would have been great.

Any advice for yourself for 2015?
Live in the present and don't be afraid.

Any New Year's resolutions?
Only secret ones!

So apparently the first half of my year was all about my bachelor, and the second half was pretty much just been me recovering from that experience. Obviously there's been other things to, but some things are just to personal for me to want to share on the internet. You get it.

Anyway, happy new year and I hope your 2014 was good and that your 2015 will be!

And may all your Christmases be -

Outfit credits: Missguided velvet dress, Vintage coat, H&M cross earrings, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania Melissa heels

Blessed be the day when I for the first time get to properly credit the queen Vivienne Westwood in my outfit post. This was my outfit from Christmas Eve (in Sweden we basically only celebrate on the 24th). Hope you all had a merry one!

Lots of love,

I did my hair again, per usual. I didn't want bright pink for christmas and for going away over New Year's (we're going to Dublin), so I didn't re-dye it after bleaching my roots. And I had my sister properly shave an undercut on me. I really like it. I like how I can put it up now without millions of hair pins. Funny though, I had more people stare at me like I was some kind of alien yesterday, when I went out like this for the first time, than I ever had when I had pink hair.

When living in Sweden, layering is not so much a fashion statement as it is a survival skill.

If you follow me on other social media, like instagram/twitter, or if you know me irl than you probably know that Effie Trinket (aka Elizabeth Banks) form the Hunger Games is my current girl crush deluxe. I'm living in the torment of being unable to rewatch Mockingjay without having to go to the movies again (which I can't afford because of things like I have pink hair to maintain and also I need to eat). So now I wear a scarf on my head at every possible moment of the day to feel better about it.  Won't tuck in all of my hair though, because frankly what's the point of maintaining said pink hair if you can't see it?

I wish I had this scarf in more colors because it's a thicker and heavier material (probably 100%cotton, idk? I cut off the label) than my other ones (that are silky), and makes the best knot. But I got it years ago so obviously they don't have it no more.

No boys allowed

This is from a while back, obviously. When I had purple hair for a while. Don't worry, it's still pink right now. I've got some "old" ootd's in my draft for days when I just don't have time to take new ones. This weekend is those days. I'm having a major winter-cleaning, since this is the only time I know for sure I'm completely free for more than one day before christmas.

too cool for school

Outfit credits: Bikbok coat, H&M hoodie and beanie, vintage tee, Gina Tricot jeans, UNIF Pyramid pack, Dr Martens boots, La Moda fake septum, ebay glasses.

This beautiful bag was my Black Friday bargain of the year. I figured I the one UNIF thing that I didn't have but could really use is a bag, so there you go. It's roomy and easy to carry, so it's all fun and games. And as a side bonus for me the triangle reflects light like it's nobody's business, so cars will be able to see me when it's dark (usually use my holographic tote from O-Mighty for that purpose these days), which it is all the fucking time.

Note to self: wear more real jeans. It's more comfortable than you how remember.
