Florals for Spring? Groundbreaking.

I have a strong love/hate relationship to spring fashion in general. It really is a season that is the same every year. But I really do have the biggest crush on Missguided's spring collection, especially the floral dresses. For some weird reason I'm a sucker for pastel blue dresses, daisy print (I blame this on the "soft grunge" fashion) and turtleneck anything. So I would not say no to either one of this gems. But my heart beats a little bit faster for the collared blue one on the far right.

Pastel blue for Spring - Neon pink for fall '14

So I cut my hair off and dyed it blue.

I also officially joined Sweden's Feminist Initiative Party. The two are however completely unrelated to each other. I don't write about politics much in this blog, but it's election year in Sweden this year. My party is not in the parliament, but chances are we might be after the election. But that's not the point. The point is that I feel very strongly for my political beliefs and it is likely to influence some of my blogging (and very much my tweeting) from now up until fall, when the election is. We're hoping for a change of government, no matter how well/poorly it goes for the party in itself. I'm not stating any of this because I want to argue or have a debate about politics with any of you, I'm stating it because this is how it is, and if you're following this blog you're gonna have to deal with it. I've been a feminist all my life and I've been supporting F! since they were founded in 2005, even if I was not old enough to actually vote in the real election in 2006 (I voted for them in our school's election, it was 9th grade, and I was the only one who did...), and there's nothing anybody could say that would change my stand on this.

But please enjoy this series of webcam selfies to take some of the seriousness off of this post!

UNIF Spring '14

My love for UNIF is old news by now. But nevertheless. Their spring collection is gold per usual, and I just want all the pastel tie dye t-shirts for summer. But I'm still aiming on getting myself those hologram Shady's first and foremost.

Camp Takota

I don't know if you know this about me but I'm a massive fan of Youtube's holy trinity; Grace Helbig, Hannah Hart and Mamrie Hart. And they made a movie, Camp Takota. And I love it. I've watched almost every night since it was released. You can, and should, get it at camptakota.com. Just wanted to tell you that. Byeeee.

ps. Festival fashion is so 2012. Let's make camp fashion the new thing this summer! ds.

You Know You Like It

Outfit credits: H&M hat, sunnies and tee, Sheinside coat, ebay over-knee boots and chiffon skirt, Kappahl thigh-high socks, Snupped.com laptop sleeve, assorted jewelry.

I got this gorgeous laptop sleeve sent to me from Snupped.com. It's a website where you can print your own cases for various electronic devices. Since didn't wish to change my beloved hologram dolphin iphone case, I opted for a laptop sleeve, since the ones I have are less than fabulous. At first I planned to create my own print, but I fell so hard for this Eyeballz print by Josiah Chua. And I actually love this so much that I ended up using it as a clutch bag rather than a case for my laptop in this look. It's in great quality and everything fits into it, so why not use it as much as possible, right?

And also; first outfit video of the year! Sorry I've been majorly slacking in that area, but it's been so hopelessly cold and I don't even know how I've managed to make outfit-posts at all. But I'm getting back on track!

Spring might be coming to Sweden (knock on wood), and what do I do in early spring? I layer black clothes like there's no tomorrow. Because you never fucking know, do you? Trust no season. Also, I felt adventurous today so I put on mascara.

Going to watch Camp Takota for the fourth night in a row now.

I got a pair of thigh-high boots off ebay as well, but you'll have to wait for an outfit post to see those. Because I'm completely in denial of the fact that I've injured my foot and can only wear seriously broken-in sneakers (it's getting better though!!).

Make my heart stop

Outfit credits: sammydress. com fluffy coat and eye+rivet+chain necklace, H&M hat, vintage tee, Dr Denim jeans, Pimkie boots, market backpack, River Island rosary necklace, ebay choker.

Three things:

1. Do you realise how long I've wanted a proper white fluffy coat? For like four years! I have one from Zara, but it's only half sleeved. But this, from sammydress.com, is perfect. It's so nice and soft. I love it. I will die in it. It (and the necklace, the one with the eyes, you know I love me some eyes) was super cheap as well. Like under $30 for both, including shipping to fucking Narnia, where I live.

2. Long bobbed hair is back. This is my go to hair style when my current extensions are coming to the end of their life span. I can't use them for length anymore, just filler. I have another set of long hair on hand, but I plan to go back to silver white again soon, and I don't want to dye them any other colour.

3. I've got a ticket to artRave! Lady Gaga will be in Stockholm on Sep 30, and so will I! Weeeooo, such excite!

Tales from the Tomb

Outfit credits: Librastyle tee, H&M hat and jacket, Missguided chiffon trousers, Dr Martens boots.

I'm a sucker for pantsuit outfits (with a twist, of course), but I rarely (read: never) get around to wearing it. I also have a massive thing for women in suits in general. As much as I'm into all things "girly" most of the time, like dresses, pink, high heels, etc, I good ol' suit is never wrong.

Picture Diary / 21 jan - 5 feb / Projects

1. My significant other and I.

2. It was a glorious moment. I miss Seth already.

3. In denial of winter I'm decorating with flowers and bright colours.

4. My new thing is to become super awesome at making henna tattoos. This is the first "big" one I ever painted so I'd say it's going well.

5. Malvina's super awesome iridescent shoes from TBA c/o Solestruck.

6+7. Selfie?

8+9. Hanging in Lovisa's bedroom that actually is my old bedroom from before I moved houses. If you've been around since those days you'll recognize the closet!

10. I adore terrestrial globes as interior decorations, and I got this the other day on sale. When I got home and showed it to my mom we noticed that it is highly inaccurate. But at least it's very pretty.

Here's the thing guys: A lot of things are going down at the same time in my life right now. If you follow me on twitter (as you should, I'm hilarious and not at all annoying) you might know I'm working on my degree project (which is part thesis, part hands-on work), and I've express some mild displeasure about my current situation. This is an understatement of how I'm actually feeling about the thesis part of the project at the moment, because of various reasons that still are out of my control. And on top of this I've had some problems with my part time job, also out of my control (I lost it, then I got it back the next day, it's a long story). So in conclusion my life completely lacks structure at the moment, and the blog is what will suffer for this. I am also on an effort-hiatus (coining that term now) for few days, which basically means, no make-up or hair-products, extensions or fancy shoes (I've injured my foot, so that's the reason for that). So outfit posts will be on the low until I feel that I'm in a place where I can do good ones again. Might be a couple of days, might be a couple of weeks. It won't be like this all term. It's just for now, until I find structure. I've got some artsy projects in my head and stuff that I'm really excited about, and spring/summer is going to be really great, it just seems far away right now.

But I'm good though. Apart from a lot of general anger caused by my current course (the degree course for my bachelor) and my university/collage I'm doing great. It's just this time of year, you know.

I'm done ranting and explaining myself now. Sorry about that.

Hard Out Here

Outfit credits: Estradeur denim coat c/o Nelly.com, Cubus/DIY moto vest, H&M dress and sweater, ebay bag, Carlings beanie, DinSko boots.

Layering is the key to survive winter in sweden while staying relatively fashionable. I worn basically the same outfit two days in a row, because I want to wear my new coat, and I've kinda injured my foot and, apart from sneakers (which is not a good idea in snow) and uggs, these are basically the only shoes I can wear (Dr Martens is a no go). And the dress is so comfy. I've only switched up the sweater and accessories to fool myself into thinking it's not actually the same look. But it is. Because it's freezing and I'm lazy. I just want it to be spring and summer.

ps. Sorry about the messed up layout before. I had forgotten to change the image size of the picture to my post width... Should have figured something was up when it took so long to upload them, haha. ds.
